Transport Planning & Mobility Solutions at Jacobs is one of the most successful teams of its nature in the UK and Ireland, with a varied client base, strong local pipeline of work and offers support delivery to project teams across the globe. Our local team is involved in a range of exciting and innovative projects covering all elements of transport planning including traffic engineering, traffic modelling, economic appraisal, active modes, public transport, policy & strategy formation and business case development. Currently, Jacobs has a wide variety of active travel and urban design projects across Scotland, the wider UK and Ireland. We are looking for an experienced Senior / Principal Traffic Engineer to complement our growing team in Scotland. You will ideally have experience in active travel and urban street design with detailed knowledge of the appropriate design guidance and standards, such as Cycling by Design and DMRB. You will also preferably have experience in design stage feasibility and undertaking concept and detailed design. Our local teams get involved in a range of exciting and innovative projects covering active travel, streets design, traffic engineering and local junction design / modelling. We are particularly interested in candidates who can wish to develop and expand their experience of the progression of active travel and mass transit, transformational placemaking and traffic management solutions. This role will allow you to pursue relevant business and technical training to support your career development as well as the freedom to grow your network and develop innovative solutions to chase new opportunities.
