Role Requirements
1. BEng or equivalent in appropriate engineering discipline
2. Basic understanding of Health & Safety Issues and Legislation
3. Basic understanding of British Standards
4. Competent in specification design/drawing for several building types
5. Knowledge of MS Office applications - Word, Excel, etc.
6. Ability to use IT-based calculation and spreadsheet software
7. Ability to prioritise own workload
8. Ability to work to tight deadlines
Role Responsibilities
1. Assisting with the planning and design of a variety of large and small electrical projects
2. Preparing project layouts and construction plans
3. Assisting in the various design elements to complete a project, system, component, with other team members with clear and specified objectives involving conventional types of plans
4. Assisting in evaluating, selecting, and adapting standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to project assignments
5. Formulating and solving problems with guidance and direction
6. Specifying activities to ensure that manufacturing, construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications and customer requirements
7. Performing basic and moderately complex engineering design calculations
8. Ensuring document control methods are being adhered to and quality control standards are being achieved
9. An analytical approach to problem solving and team relationships
10. Carry out independent reading and research to support drawing/specification accuracy
11. Liaising with contractors in connection with the design and co-ordination of installations
