Job summary We are looking for a passionate and skilled Sonographer to join our dynamic Radiology Team, specialising in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Working across our 3 main sites, St Albans City Hospital, Hemel Hempstead Hospital and Watford General Hospital, you will independently perform and report high-quality obstetric and gynaecological scans, contributing to safe and effective antenatal screening. You'll be part of a friendly, supportive team in a progressive department that values innovation, education, and patient-centred care. Main duties of the job The post holder will independently perform, interpret, and report ultrasound scans across Obstetrics and Gynaecology. As a confident practitioner, you'll manage a varied and complex caseload, support junior staff, and contribute to national audit schemes such as DQASS. Key skills include NT scan compliance, effective triage, excellent communication, and patient-centred care. You will play a role in service development, protocol writing, and peer review while ensuring all scanning meets high-quality assurance standards.
