Overview
Duties and responsibilities will include management of daily banking and reconciliation, monthly sales & cash collection reporting, cash flow forecasts, the preparation of management accounts, liaising with non-finance business stakeholders and other ad hoc duties within the Finance team.
Although AAT or part CIMA/ACCA qualified would be an advantage this opportunity would also be suited to somebody is looking to work towards a qualification, having demonstrated significant previous experience in a comparable role.
Key Responsibilities
Working independently in the preparation of monthly Management Accounts including:
Accrual & Prepayments
Trend Commentary on cost Lines
Balance Sheet Reconciliation for key Balance Sheet Accounts
Contributing to Divisional Reporting
Cash Book Forecasting
Working with the other accountants in supporting the Annual Budget and Forecast Preparation
Working with Auditors at Year End
Statistical Analysis/Preparation for both Internal & External Customers
Business partnering with central functions to manage budgets and control spend
Dealing with our main suppliers on high-level contractual and billing queries and disputes
Skills & experience
Previous experience of compiling and producing management accounts to a high standard of accuracy
AAT part-qualified / qualified
Experience using SAGE 200 or similar package
Proficient user of MS Excel
Forward thinking and proactive
Able to identify financial and business risks to the company
Confident to challenge and question assumptions made by the business
A self-starter who is enthusiastic & organised and able to work under minimal supervision
