Logistics Operative
Full time. Shift 4 on, 4 off 12pm - 12am
Invitations are invited from enthusiastic individuals who can demonstrate a positive attitude working within a fast paced, warehousing environment.
Based at our Leythorne site, duties and responsibilities will be centred around our busy Logistics departments. Working as part of a team, our warehouse operators and forklift drivers assist with the safe transfer of produce to and from production and storage areas, as well as picking & packing orders and loading unloading delivery vehicles utilising PPE and Forklift trucks where necessary. You will be confident working in a busy, temperature controlled, warehouse environment and manoeuvring goods around safely both inside and out. Reporting to the Team Leader, you will be passionate about providing a first class service at all times and be responsible for ensuring all operational warehousing tasks are completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities
1. Loading & Unloading of delivery vehicles
2. Ensure safe transfer/locating of finished products to despatch from production utilising MHE
3. Ensure safe transfer/locating of raw materials
4. To be trained for all warehousing area duties across both Leythorne and Sefter sites
5. Adherence to all trained SOPs
6. Focus on internal and external customer satisfaction with zero errors
7. To operate clean as you go principles whilst carrying out duties
8. To maintain high standards of health and safety in all operating areas
9. Hazards and accidents reported to the manager in a timely manner
10. Focus on continuous improvements
11. Other associated logistics/warehouse duties as required
Requirements
Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience
12. Previous experience in a Fresh Produce or FMCG Warehousing environment (Preferred)
13. Forklift / Counter Balance Licence (An advantage - but not essential)
14. Able to communicate effectively using basic verbal English
15. Confident and proactive with experience working to deadlines
16. Experience of working in a fast paced environment
