Due to internal promotion, an exciting opportunity for an experienced Ophthalmology Nurse, with substantial experience and also with an interest in Medical Retina, to join our Ophthalmic Nurse Practitioner team at Southlands.
Our department is very dynamic and progressive, where no two days are the same, making it an exciting environment to work in. We also offer exciting and innovative training which should pique the interest of any budding ONP.
Main Duties of the Job
You will be expected to train and work as part of our Non-Medical Injector team for the treatment of Medical Retina issues. Additionally, you will work across the following areas:
1. Ophthalmology Outpatient Clinic
2. Ophthalmology Pre-Op Assessment
3. Ophthalmology Day Surgery
Other areas of the department may also be required from time to time.

Experience
* Substantial Ophthalmology Experience
* Ophthalmic Qualification
Knowledge
* Knowledge of Medical Retina and the services included
* Experience working within a MR service in a large trust
Skills
* Able to perform subcutaneous and IM injections independently
* Trained Non-Medical Injector

* Evidence of having undertaken own development to improve understanding of equalities issues.
