MedicsPro are seeking experienced SACT Trained Chemotherapy Nurses (RGN) - Band 5 with recent NHS experience. We currently have available LONG DAYS ONLY.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drug Knowledge - know the ins and outs of different chemotherapy drugs - their doses, actions, and potential side effects.
2. IV Mastery - often administering chemotherapy intravenously so need excellent IV skills.
3. Device Management - Many medications are given through central venous access devices (like ports or PICC lines), so need to maintain and troubleshoot these devices.
4. Creating individualized care plans for patients under their supervision and care.
5. Recognising and treating cancer-related issues.
6. Collaborating with a team of healthcare professionals to share expertise and knowledge.
7. Conducting cancer research to enhance treatment protocols assigned to cancer patients.
8. Administering chemotherapy and other cancer treatments.
9. Monitoring patients' vital signs.
10. Managing symptoms.
11. Providing emotional support to patients and their families.
