About the Role
We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager to support the successful planning, coordination, and delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects.
You will be responsible for managing projects from initial research through to implementation and long-term operation, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to a high standard. This role involves working closely with landowners, consultants, suppliers, contractors, and internal teams involved in related renewable energy developments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct feasibility studies and site assessments to identify the best locations for new projects, initially prioritising areas near existing renewable energy sites.
2. Assess project requirements and propose tailored solutions, including additional on-site services such as retail options and amenities to enhance value.
3. Oversee all stages of project execution, from procurement and construction to testing and commissioning, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
4. Engage with landowners, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to secure approvals and ensure seamless project delivery.
5. Develop and manage project plans, budgets, risk assessments, and resource allocation to ensure projects progress efficiently.
6. Coordinate effectively between departments to align project objectives with wider business goals.
7. Identify potential project risks and implement mitigation strategies to ensure smooth delivery.
8. Lead community engagement efforts to maintain positive relationships with local stakeholders.
9. Provide regular reports to keep senior management and investors informed on project progress.
10. Stay updated on industry advancements, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies to ensure projects incorporate innovative and sustainable solutions.
11. Conduct site visits to monitor safety, quality, and operational performance, ensuring ongoing compliance and an excellent user experience.
12. Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, risk assessment, and problem-solving to ensure successful project execution.
13. Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including landowners, suppliers, and internal teams.
14. Awareness of the latest advancements in technology, renewable energy integration, and smart grid solutions to enhance project delivery.
Qualifications & Experience
1. A degree in engineering, project management, or a related field. A master’s degree would be advantageous.
2. Recognised project management certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, Agile, or equivalent qualifications are beneficial.
