We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a band 7 Team Manager to join our expanding Scarborough and Ryedale Wellbeing in Mind Team. The Wellbeing in Mind Team are MHSTs who work directly into education, in line with the government's priority to increase access and availability of mental health and wellbeing support for children and young people within education settings.
The band 7 Team Manager provides operational leadership to the team, which works into a number of educational settings throughout Scarborough, Ryedale, and surrounding areas. You will be expected to work in both Scarborough and Malton.
Main Duties of the Job
Our Wellbeing in Mind team has 3 core functions:
1. Support the development of a whole-school or college approach to wellbeing, including developing and implementing mental health and wellbeing policies, resources, campaigns, and delivering training.
2. Provide timely advice and consultation to education staff to support their skills and confidence in addressing the wellbeing needs of their students.
3. Undertake direct assessments and interventions for young people within education, primarily using cognitive-behavioral therapy.
Each function accounts for a third of the team's workload. The Team Manager must demonstrate the ability to manage their time, prioritizing and managing competing demands. Building relationships and collaborating with a wide range of partners and stakeholders is vital to this role.
About Us
The post holder will be part of a locality-wide leadership team along with the WiMT Clinical Leads. They will take a lead role in developing new processes and pathways, provide management supervision to their team, and support the senior leadership team in reporting the team's work and its outcomes to various stakeholders.

Person Specification
Qualifications and Experience
* Current professional registration with the appropriate body in healthcare or social work or relevant professional clinical qualification (e.g., PWP/CWP in IAPT/Getting Help services).
* Educated to Master's level in leadership or a relevant subject area, or have equivalent clinical experience to that of a Master's level, including significant experience managing people.
* Trained in Clinical Supervision.
* Recognised Practice Assessor/Practice Supervisor.
* Significant experience managing people and working with patients with complex needs and risk behaviours.
* Experience working collaboratively with external partners, staff, service users, and their families/carers.
* Evidence of delivering supervision and understanding of the legal framework under the Mental Health Act and other relevant legislation.
* Knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment, clinical medicines management, and quality improvement methodology.
* Experience in inter-agency and partnership working.
