AtkinsRéalis are seeking a Senior Well Engineer with a background in interventions (e.g. wireline, coil tubing, snubbing, completions, and workovers) who will play a pivotal role in the technical delivery of our growing Energy Storage business, within the Net Zero group.
Your purpose:
You will be part of our expanding Net Zero business, working in our Energy Storage group within our international multi-disciplinary surface and subsurface engineering team.
This role is for a Senior Well Engineer, with demonstrable intervention experience, to lead the technical delivery of wells projects for our Energy Storage clients. The working location of the role is flexible, but there will be a requirement to undertake site work for extended periods of time at our client locations.
Responsibilities:
* Work closely with clients to build strong and trusted relationships.
* Lead the technical delivery of wells projects, including planning and operational support for well maintenance, interventions, and workover operations.
* Provide engineering input to investigations or studies required by clients.
* Develop solutions to complex technical issues, communicating these solutions to the client and engineering them through to implementation.
* Provide technical direction and leadership to ensure cost-effective and innovative solutions.
* Provide on-site engineering supervision of intervention operations at client sites.
* Engage in the development of the Wells team, sharing and collaborating both technical and safety knowledge.
* Support market growth in the UK and European Energy Storage market.
What you can bring:
* Degree qualified in an engineering discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
* Technical experience of well intervention engineering.
* Expertise in a wells-related discipline (e.g. wireline, coil tubing, snubbing, completions, and workovers).
* Knowledge and understanding of industry standards, guidelines, and requirements.
* Demonstrable knowledge of engineering approval practices.
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and experience in creating and presenting technical reports.
* Capable of building and maintaining strong business relationships with stakeholders.
* Ambition to help develop a market-leading business, with flexibility to travel and work from client sites for extended periods.
