Job Title: Housekeeper/Cook (Italian Speaker Preferred but not essential) Location: Blackheath, SE3, London, UK Hours: Monday to Friday, full time Salary: £45,000 - £50,000 gross per year (depending on experience) A wonderful opportunity has arisen for an experienced and dynamic Housekeeper/Cook to work for a lovely professional family within their property in SE London. In this role you will report into the House Manager, and you will be working as part of a small established team. The candidate will be experienced and self-motivated, able to work autonomously to ensure that all daily housekeeping and cooking duties are completed to the highest standard, prior experience working in private households. You will be responsible for ensuring that the very high standards of cleanliness are maintained across the properties, you will be responsible for laundry, ironing, wardrobe management as well as general and deep cleaning. You will also care for antiques, and fine furnishings, so it is essential that you must have excellent knowledge of how to care for luxury furnishings and surfaces and have a good understanding of the use of appropriate cleaning products. The ideal candidate will be self-sufficient, organised, and trustworthy, as well as having the ability to work autonomously when required. Duties: • General housekeeping to a very high standard • Responsible for the overall cleanliness, organisation, and upkeep of the property • Laundry and ironing of clothing, fine fabrics, linens etc. • Cooking: you will be required to cook home-made meals for the family • Ordering of food and household items, ensuring the fridge is stocked • Care of high-end furnishings, antiques • Wardrobe management and packing/unpacking for the principals • Controlling housekeeping supplies • Service and assistance at events • Deal quickly and responsibly with any issues that arise • Assisting the House manager with general ad hoc tasks Requirements: • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a Luxury Household or 5 Hotel • Full clean driving license • Right to work in the UK
