Birmingham Community Health are looking to employ an exceptional clinically skilled podiatrist and leader to complement the team within the Podiatry service. The successful candidate must hold an extensive portfolio of specialism and leadership in high-risk lower limb conditions. The post holder will help to develop and shape the podiatry service to ensure the delivery of safe, high quality, and evidence-based care to our culturally diverse city.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Podiatrist to provide development and leadership in the provision of high-quality podiatry and high-risk care. Leadership is a large part of this role, and you will be actively involved in providing ongoing education and training to a wide range of staff.
Additionally, applicants will be required to demonstrate proven success in the leadership of staff together with clinical expertise in all aspects of podiatry as well as retaining your high specialism.
Main Responsibilities:
1. To provide expert podiatry clinical leadership within a highly specialised area of Podiatry across Birmingham.
2. To develop, plan, and co-ordinate service provision within this specialist area across a variety of settings.
3. To manage and support a team of clinicians including highly specialist clinicians and team leaders.
4. To deputise for the podiatry clinical lead and clinical service managers in a strategic role as required.
5. Overseeing provision of Podiatry Services in line with Commissioning, NICE, and National best practice guidelines.
6. Ensuring the service provision within the specialist area is responsive to local capacity and demand.
