We are recruiting for a Research & Development (R&D) Administrator to join our team on a 12 month fixed-term contract to provide varied administrative support to the Director of R&D, the Head of R&D, and other senior team members.
This is a full-time position (37.5 hours per week) based at the Warneford Hospital where you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the department, managing diaries, organising meetings and events, and assisting with reporting processes.

Main duties of the job
* Arranging meetings and events, managing diaries, assisting with reporting processes and other duties as required.
* Recording of meeting minutes, as well as the dissemination of relevant information to meeting attendees as required.
* Support R&D managers with management of HealthRoster admin duties and staff leave procedures.
* Respond to all queries, correspondence, and telephone calls in a timely and professional manner. Initiate action where possible and report progress as appropriate. Employ judgement to ensure that messages and actions are prioritised and brought to the attention of the R&D senior management team with any relevant supporting information.
* Support with data collection, collation and processing to assist with the completion and dissemination of regular reports and data requests.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Professional Secretarial/Admin Qualification, such as BTEC or NVQ4 or equivalent experience.
* RSA III Word-processing (or equivalent).
Experience
* Substantial experience working as a PA/secretary at senior manager level.
* Knowledge and experience of office administration, including arranging and servicing meetings, taking and transcribing minutes.
* Administration experience in a healthcare or public sector environment, such as the NHS.
Skills
* IT literate, able to use Microsoft Office with excellent keyboard skills.
* Excellent verbal and communication and interpersonal skills and ability to identify the key messages and areas for action arising from telephone and personal conversations.
