An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Stroke Data Co-Ordinator to join our team 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday, based at Musgrove Park Hospital.
The post holder will be responsible for accurate collection and submission of data onto national databases with local breakdown to internal and external organisations.
Main duties of the job
Reporting to the key members of the Stroke Team, the post holder is responsible for gathering data, preparing and presenting data in the most appropriate format and providing analytical support for all project benefits, KPI's and metrics to enhance patient care and experience.
To have effective working relationships with clinical staff of all grades and disciplines, informatics staff, clinical coders and others to minimise all delays in reporting and ensure efficient data collection and reporting methods.
You will identify any areas of improvement regarding efficiency or improved patient outcomes and disseminate these with staff in a timely manner.
You will actively report in the Stroke Governance Meetings and lead on the stroke dashboard, with the implications for patient care outcomes.

Qualifications
* A levels or equivalent level of competence
* Evidence of a good standard of literacy/English language skills
* Good communication skills on the telephone, via email, face to face and in written correspondence
* Professional and responsible approach at all times
* Numerate qualification or equivalent experience
* Evidence of further study in IT/Information systems/Analytics related areas
* Previous NHS experience
Experience
* Excellent analytical skills
* Advanced working knowledge of Excel
* Highly numerate and analytical with a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
* Understanding of NHS budget streams and coding criteria
* Experience of working in project environments
* Experience of dealing with clinical and non-clinical staff of all levels
