We have an exciting new opportunity for a highly focused individual to work within our Aseptic Unit assisting with the daily Quality Control and Quality Assurance functions.
You will be contributing towards supporting our Production department products that allow the transfer of patient care effectively from the hospital to their home, under the guidance and supervision of experienced members of the Quality team. Everything is a team effort – You will be part of a wider team and this means getting involved, caring about your teammates and working together closely. We work Monday-Friday 37.5 hours a week, between the hours of 7am-6pm. There is a requirement to work 2 Saturdays a year; Easter and Christmas.

Location: Thorncliffe Park, Sheffield, S35 2PW – located just off Junction 35A off the M1
Other main responsibilities are:
* To collate the environmental monitoring data of the clean rooms obtained during daily/weekly manufacturing activities.
* To log, incubate and inspect media, and report microbiological results according to local procedures.
* Arranging for media sample dispatch when external analysis is required.
* To input microbiological data into a customised database for trending purposes and provide reports from this database as requested.
* To perform chemical testing on in-process and final production samples in a timely manner.
* To assist with completion of Aseptic Environmental reports.
* Assist with the ordering of laboratory chemicals and consumables and manage laboratory stock levels.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
* Have an A Level (or equivalent) in Science.
* Ideally have previous laboratory experience, preferably with a chemistry or microbiology bias.
* Be able to work as part of a team in a busy environment and be able to work on their own initiative.
* Have excellent attention to detail and verbal and written communication skills.
* Be flexible and adaptable.
