Clinical Tutor, IPT-A Training Programme

Job overview
We are delighted to seek an experienced, highly motivated individual to support the IPT-A Programme Lead on CYP Psychological Training (formerly CYP IAPT) IPT-A PG Certificate at the GMMH Psychological Therapies Training Centre who are renowned for providing high quality training to students in evidence-based psychological therapies.
The course provides training in knowledge and skills required to become an IPT-A Accredited Therapist. Trainees learn how to deliver IPT-A evidence-based model, engage in teaching and supervision as well as the broader CYP PTs and cross pathway teaching.
Candidates will have substantial experience of delivering IPT-A and IPT-A or IPT supervision with experience of having worked with adolescents.
We are looking to recruit a tutor with knowledge and experience of teaching/training and supervision both individually and in groups. Applicants need an interest in IPT-A research and knowledge and understanding of training in practice and possess excellent communication and organisational skills being able to participate in all aspects of training.
Successful candidates must be registered with IPT UK as an IPT Therapist and Supervisor, hold a relevant undergraduate degree (or equivalent) and have experience in delivering this therapy with Adolescents.
This is a fixed term post; secondment can be offered with the agreement of the applicant's existing employer.
Main duties of the job
To support the IPT-A Programme Lead with the delivery, development and evaluation of the Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Adolescents (IPT-A) pathway of a high quality Postgraduate Certificate programme in Evidence Based Practice for Children & Young People (CYP) for mental health, health and social care professionals working in Child and Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) or equivalent, as part of the Children and Young People's Psychological Therapies Training (CYP PTs formerly CYP IAPT) project.

* 27 days annual leave plus bank holidays rising to 29 after 5 years and 33 days after 10 years.
* Qualification in one of the main mental health, health or social care professions with a minimum of six years’ post qualification experience in mental health relevant settings.
* Accredited Therapist and Supervisor with IPT UK.
* Qualifications in training/education and clinical supervision.
Experience
* Substantial experience of delivering IPT-A therapy and supervision to a range of other professionals.
* General teaching or training experience.
* Teaching or training experience in IPT-A.
Knowledge
* Evidence of continuing personal and professional development in IPT-A.
* Experience of delivering/evaluating a training programme.
Skills
* Excellent interpersonal skills, and ability to communicate effectively in a range of modalities and to students of varying levels of knowledge.
* Ability to evaluate highly complex situations that require analysis, interpretation and comparison of a range of options (e.g. formulation of complex clinical problems) within the IPT-A model and to advise other professionals regarding these.
* Good word processing, MS Teams and PowerPoint skills.
* Familiarity with multi-media equipment relevant to training environments.
