Title: Senior Consultant - Airworthiness and Technical Services Salary range is between £ 60,000 to £ 75,000 depending on experience. Location: Bristol Closing date is 28 Feb 2025 however we encourage early applications. Frazer-Nash Consultancy provides Airworthiness and Technical Support services to the UK Defence Air Environment (DAE) and we are looking for an experienced senior consultant to manage the development and technical delivery of key projects. In addition, the chosen candidate will provide engineering experience to our large team of multi-discipline aerospace engineers across a variety of fixed-wing, rotary-wing and crewed and uncrewed air systems. Our Systems Integration team aims to support our clients in providing the UK with an airworthy, safe, sustainable military capability through the application of a systems engineering approach to engineering technical services in the aerospace domain across the MoD. Our clients look for support in initial type certification and type airworthiness, continuing airworthiness and technical delivery of projects. This would suit an engineer who has MoD experience or civil service equivalent experience in supporting military platforms being certified, modified or supporting them in service. This senior role represents an opportunity to join an expanding team and oversee technical delivery and coordination on projects. You will develop a portfolio of project deliveries, hone your consultancy skills and develop more junior engineers and graduates. As part of Frazer-Nash Consultancy, you may also have opportunities to work outside aerospace or gain civil experience to widen your skillset further. To support these responsibilities, we are looking for a person with an aerospace engineering background who: Extensive engineering experience across multiple disciplines Experience in overseeing engineering delivery across multiple senior stakeholders and be able to oversee a team of consultants to coordinate and manage technical delivery. Is a practitioner in Type or Continuing Airworthiness Attained Chartered Engineer status or be eligible to apply for it Has evident technical experience of working in a Systems Engineering environment, in the aerospace industry, including Certification requirements and compliance, Requirements management, Safety and assurance or Design office Exhibits an understanding of the different air safety aspects of an air systems life cycle. It would be advantageous to meet the requirements below: Holds a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline Experience working within a Delivery Team or Defence Equipment & Support Frontline Engineering Experience on a Squadron or similar direct aircraft support engineering organisation Experience in certification, CAMO or similar disciplines (civil or military) Lead Auditor experience Has previous/current experience as an engineering consultant Due to the nature of the work that Frazer-Nash Consultancy undertake, candidates will be required to undergo pre-employment screening and must be able to satisfy clearance criteria for UK National Security Vetting.
