Enerveo is one of the largest contracting businesses in the UK, offering a broad scope of services including mechanical, electrical, high voltage, electrical vehicle (EV) infrastructure installation, test and inspection services, as well as street lighting.
Job Title: Senior Highway Electrical Infrastructure Operative
Base Location: Newquay, Cornwall
Salary: Up to £35,329 depending on skills and experience and working hours - plus a range of other benefits to support your family, finances and wellbeing.
Working Pattern: Full Time, Monday–Friday 8am-4pm. Out of Hours Standby is required on a rota.
Enerveo have an extensive street lighting business that manages over 1 million street lights across the UK and Ireland. Through design, project management, consultancy, installation, and maintenance, we play a major role in reducing energy consumption and carbon footprints, helping towns and cities become smarter, greener, and more efficient.
What will I be doing in this role?
In a typical day, you could expect to be:
* Installing and maintaining CCTV equipment on the Highway or Commercial properties
* Installing and maintaining ANPR, Speed cameras, and highway reporting equipment
* Installing and maintaining rising bollards, highway pumps, and car park parking systems
* Logging into back office systems to diagnose faults, and then programming attendance to rectify faults
* Ensuring we deliver outstanding service to our clients and the general public
* Working to strict safety guidelines and regulations
What do I need to be successful in the role?
* You will have an electrical background and will have completed training and qualifications to support this
* We work in all weathers! So you need to be the type of person who is happy working outdoors all year round.
* A lot of this role will be working at height, so you need to be comfortable with working in a MEWP or off a ladder above the ground.
* We do need you to have a full UK Driving Licence as we cover a wide range of locations
Some of our ‘nice to haves’ are:
* We would look for you to hold IPAF working at heights training
* It would be a benefit if you have a good knowledge of the 18th Edition
* If you are qualified to AM2, City and Guilds 2391 qualification this would be a benefit but not essential
* CCTV qualifications and experience
We can however support the right candidate to achieve any level of industry training/qualifications they may not have in the ‘nice to have’ list.
