This role is DTC focused and sits within the global Digital Marketing function in the wider Ecommerce team.
With an ever-growing online presence, we are seeking an experienced SEO Manager to join our digital marketing team and drive our organic growth. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of SEO from content to technical, understand luxury brand positioning, and be able to manage an agency as well as direct line reports.
You'll be;
SEO Strategy Development & Execution:
* Leading the creation and execution of comprehensive SEO strategies aimed at driving traffic, improving search rankings, and increasing conversion rates.
* Managing on-page, off-page, and technical SEO initiatives in alignment with business objectives and KPIs.
* Staying ahead of trends and innovations in the SEO and retail industry, adapting strategies accordingly.
Team & Agency Management:
* Leading and mentoring internal team members, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback.
* Acting as the primary point of contact for our external SEO agency, overseeing their work and ensuring they are aligned with the brand’s goals.
* Fostering a collaborative environment, ensuring the internal team and agency are working seamlessly towards a shared vision and achieving results.
Performance Monitoring & Reporting:
* Developing and maintaining performance reports to measure and communicate SEO performance (traffic, keyword rankings, organic conversions, etc.)
* Identifying trends, insights, and areas for optimization using data analysis and tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Ahrefs.
* Proactively recommend improvements based on data-driven insights, and ensure strategies are continually optimized to meet targets.
Technical SEO & Site Audits:
* Conducting regular site audits to identify opportunities for improving site structure, user experience, and technical SEO (e.g., mobile optimisation, page speed, URL structures, and schema markup).
* Working closely with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are integrated into the website's design and functionality.
Brand Positioning:
* Ensuring SEO strategies align with the brand’s positioning, tone and high-quality standards, maintaining a balance between performance and customer experience.
* Optimising content and design to enhance both search visibility and user engagement, with a focus on premium customer experience.
Collaboration:
* Working closely with creative, digital, ecommerce and brand marketing teams to ensure consistency of messages and clear understanding of objectives.
* Educating others on SEO best practices so they are incorporated across all applicable channels.
* Supporting the Global Head of Digital Marketing by contributing to cross-channel digital marketing campaigns with a focus on driving organic growth.
You'll have;
* Proven experience in this field, preferably in the retail industry; global experience preferred.
* A track record of leading successful SEO campaigns that have significantly increased organic search visibility and revenue.
* Experience in managing a team, as well as external agencies, to drive results.
* Proficiency in SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, etc.
* A deep understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO strategies and best practices.
* Experience with HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript, with the ability to communicate effectively with development teams.
* An in-depth understanding of SEO trends, algorithm updates (e.g., Google Core Updates), and how they impact the retail sector.
* Knowledge of luxury retail consumer behaviour and the ability to tailor SEO strategies for the brand.
* An analytical mind with the ability to support in decision-making.
