Highly regarded main contractor are seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to join their well-established team in the North East. For this position you must have delivered commercial build schemes in excess of £15M from start to finish.
Role and responsibilities:
1. Reporting to the Project Manager and keeping them up to date with the site schedule
2. Liaising with Stakeholders
3. Ordering materials
4. Resolving any issues within the team or sub-contractors
5. Complying to all OHS regulations
6. Managing a team of Supervisors and Labourers ensuring everyone knows what is expected of them
Requirements:
1. Experience working on commercial newbuild, in excess of £15m - ideally DFE
2. A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from dealing with strategic issues at conception stage, through all of the operational stages to completion and post-project review.
3. Excellent knowledge and experience of all of the main project management concepts, tools and techniques.
4. Excellent knowledge of construction industry technical matters, such as different procurement routes and value management
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
