Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Automotive Service Manager to oversee our service department. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and exceptional customer service skills, ensuring that our clients receive top-notch service while driving sales through effective upselling techniques. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing daily operations, staff supervision, and maintaining high standards of service quality.
Responsibilities
1. Manage the day-to-day operations of the service department, ensuring efficiency and productivity.
2. Lead a team of Service Advisors and Technicians, fostering a positive work environment and encouraging professional development.
3. Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly.
4. Implement upselling strategies to promote additional services and products to customers.
5. Oversee cash handling procedures, ensuring accuracy in transactions and adherence to company policies.
6. Maintain accurate records of services performed, inventory levels, and customer interactions.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and customer satisfaction.
8. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the workshop.
Qualifications
1. Proven experience in an automotive service management role or similar position.
2. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to diagnose vehicle issues effectively.
3. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships and enhancing client satisfaction.
4. Experience in cash handling and financial management within a retail or service environment.
5. Ability to upsell services effectively while maintaining integrity in customer interactions.
6. Strong organisational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
7. A valid driving licence.

Pay: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
