Key Responsibilities: Leverage your deep understanding of Smart Metering systems, including technical specifications, communication protocols (e.g., Zigbee, SMETS2), and effective solution design.
Design cloud-native architectures (AWS, Azure, or GCP) tailored for high-performance, scalable Smart Metering solutions.
Develop and manage robust, modular microservices architectures to support seamless integration and operational efficiency.
Ensure solutions align with industry standards, including Smart Metering Equipment Technical Specifications (SMETS), GDPR, and other regulatory frameworks.
Produce comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs, architecture diagrams, and user guides, ensuring clarity for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Collaborate with internal teams, Smart Metering suppliers, and third-party vendors to ensure cohesive and innovative solution delivery.
Mentor development teams and provide best-practice guidance on Smart Metering integration projects.
Key Requirements: Proven track record of delivering Smart Metering projects, particularly involving SMETS2 devices and associated communication protocols.
Comprehensive experience in the utilities sector, with a strong understanding of its technical and operational landscape.
Advanced proficiency in cloud architecture design and implementation (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
Strong experience in microservices development and management.
Expertise in integration patterns, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
Demonstrated ability to create detailed, clear, and accessible technical documentation for diverse audiences.
Familiarity with relevant regulations, including SMETS, GDPR, and ISO27001.
Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Architect Expert) or TOGAF.
