Band 2 Deep Clean Domestic Assistant Based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital
The Domestic Services team have responsibility for ensuring that standards of environmental cleanliness are maintained and the Deep Clean Team play a key role. In addition to general cleaning responsibilities, the Team are trained to carry out deep cleaning following outbreaks of infectious illness, terminal cleaning of vacated isolation rooms and following maintenance. They are also trained to use specialist decontamination equipment such as Hydrogen Peroxide Vapour equipment. Previous experience of working within the cleaning industry would be beneficial but it is not essential as the successful candidates will receive on the job training and supervision. Uniform/protective clothing will also be provided.
Main duties of the job
We currently have opportunities in our Domestic Services Department for enthusiastic, motivated individuals. The posts will be based at Wrexham Maelor Hospital. However, the successful candidate will need to be able to travel to Community Hospitals and Clinics; a shared vehicle will be available for this purpose. Therefore, please note that the ability to drive will be essential for this role.

We are offering a permanent contract of employment and hours of work will be:
1. 35 hours a week - working a combination of 10am to 5:30pm and/or to to provide cover where needed on a rota which includes Bank Holidays and weekends as per the needs of the service.
Rates of pay are £12 per hour, with enhanced rates for work undertaken on a Saturday (£ per hour), Sunday (£ per hour).
