PORTERING MANAGER (HEALTHCARE)
Salary: £35,000 - £40,000 per annum
Working Hours: Permanent, Full Time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 8:30am and 4:30pm

We have an exciting opportunity to join the G4S Facilities Management team in the role of Portering Manager working on a full time basis at Churchill University Hospital in Oxford.
We are looking for someone with a passion for service excellence in a fast pace and dynamic environment to lead and motivate a team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a team to ensure that we deliver the best service possible to patients under the care of the hospital.
This role will involve a significant amount of people management activities and therefore previous experience of managing a team is essential. The successful candidate will be someone who is a keen advocate of leading by example to promote best practice, service excellence and a safe working culture.
Responsibilities
Effectively deploy and manage the portering team, optimising resource allocation based on workload schedules, prioritising urgent requests, and ensuring adherence to labour budgets
Identifying areas for improvement within the delivery of services to ensure optimal output.
Lead by example and ensure full compliance with all health and safety regulations, fostering a safe working environment for the portering team
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with staff, clients, and departmental supervisors, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Drive continuous improvement in customer satisfaction through proactive monitoring and feedback management
Manage the procurement, distribution, and inventory of portering equipment and materials, adhering to budget constraints
Supervise the timely reporting and tracking of equipment and material maintenance defects, adhering to established procedures.
Support the implementation and enforcement of portering policies, ensuring adherence to agreed service standards
Undertake the completion of an appropriate quality audit system on a quarterly basis and compile an action plan.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:
Strong communication and previous people management experience
An understanding of Health & Safety principles is essential, with IOSH Managing Safely qualification highly desirable.
Proficient in quality management and audit practices.
