Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Site Operations Manager to oversee foundation construction, including roadworks and pavements, for an onshore wind farm project in Scotland. This 18-month, full-time onsite role will ensure all contractors adhere to project specifications, design, and safety standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
* Contractor Compliance: Monitor and verify that all civil, electrical, and turbine contractors comply with signed contracts, technical specifications, design requirements, and safety standards.
* Foundation Supervision: Oversee foundation construction activities, ensuring quality standards and project specifications are met.
* Quality Control & Safety Assurance: Implement quality control measures, conduct routine site inspections, and verify safety procedures are followed by all on-site personnel.
* Program Management: Track and report on the project schedule, ensuring contractors meet deadlines and the project adheres to the established timeline.
* Technical Oversight: Assess and confirm that all work meets technical design requirements and general specifications, proactively identifying and resolving any issues to maintain project integrity.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a point of contact between contractors and project management teams, reporting progress, identifying potential risks, and ensuring all parties are informed on-site activities and requirements.
Qualifications:
* Education: Degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
* Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory role in infrastructure, renewable energy, or similar projects, with hands-on experience in foundation construction, roadworks, and civil works.
* Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of foundation construction, safety protocols, and technical specification adherence, especially related to onshore wind farm or renewable energy development.
* Skills: Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills; ability to enforce safety, quality, and schedule requirements effectively.
* Certification: Valid health and safety certification is preferred.
