Tutor Location: Burnley Area (Local Library/Setting) Position Type: Temporary Pay: £20-£30 per hour Hours: Flexible, 2-3 hours per day. Contract: This is a temporary position with potential for future opportunities. We are currently recruiting for an experienced Offsite Tutor to work with a local school, providing 1:1 tutoring in English and Maths for pupils aged 11-16. Many of the children display signs of challenging behaviours, and may face social, emotional, and mental health challenges. Role Overview: Tutoring: Provide individualised tutoring in English and Maths at a local library or setting, following lesson plans and tailoring resources to meet each student's needs. Student Support: Work with students on a 1:1 basis to help build confidence, improve their skills, and support their academic progress. Relationship Building: Develop positive relationships with students to encourage engagement and foster a supportive learning environment. Ideal Candidate: Previous experience tutoring English and Maths at the secondary school level. Ability to build strong relationships with students and tailor lessons to their unique learning needs. A proactive approach to planning and adapting resources independently. Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate students in a 1:1 setting.
