Warner Recruitment is seeking an experienced, hands-on Head of Finance to lead the finance function at RML Group Ltd. This new role offers a great opportunity for a qualified accountant or someone with great experience (Qualified by Experience – QBE) to take full ownership of the finance department. You should have a strong background in management accounts, budgeting, and forecasting, and ideally, experience with a manufacturing company. You should be someone who enjoys business partnering across departments to understand the drivers and challenges that they face. As Head of Finance, you will also be responsible for managing and motivating a small finance team to achieve the financial objectives of the business. The role requires a self-starter with a proactive approach to process improvement, cost-saving initiatives, and supporting the business's revenue streams. Reports to: CEO Head of Finance key Responsibilities: • Month-End Closing: Ensure timely and accurate month-end close, with reconciliation and reporting. • Management Accounts: Prepare and present management accounts to the board, ensuring clarity and accuracy. • Financial Reporting: Provide financial reports to the board and departmental heads to align with business objectives. • Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead the creation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-term plans. • Commercial Analysis of Revenue Streams: Conduct viability analysis of revenue streams and their financial performance. • Cash Flow Forecasting: Lead weekly cash flow forecasting and review with the Managing Director. • Cost Management: Identify areas for cost savings and operational efficiency. • Audit & Compliance: Lead the year-end audit process, ensuring timely submission of statutory accounts and key compliance activities. • Team Management: Lead, motivate, and support a small finance team to achieve business financial goals. The Person: • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified, or QBE (or equivalent). • Experience of working in a manufacturing company (beneficial) • Proven ability to prepare accurate and timely management accounts and maintain the integrity of financial data. • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow reporting. • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with and influence key stakeholders at all levels. • Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented approach to problem-solving. • Leadership experience, with a proven track record of motivating and supporting a small finance team. • Self-sufficient, with the ability to take initiative, drive results, and solve problems independently.
