About the Role:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will work alongside teachers to provide high-quality support for students in secondary and SEN (Special Educational Needs) settings. Your role will include one-to-one support, small group work, and assisting students with a range of needs in order to create an inclusive and positive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting the teacher in delivering engaging lessons
* Assisting students with their educational and social development
* Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils who need additional help
* Supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs), where applicable
* Helping to manage classroom behaviour
* Encouraging positive learning and reinforcing classroom expectations
What We're Looking For:
* Experience working with children (in school settings, care roles, youth work, etc.)
* A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students
* Strong communication skills and a passion for education
* An understanding of SEN is desirable.
* An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one through Teaching Personnel

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
