Warners (Midlands) Plc are a family run high quality magazine and brochure printers who are looking to recruit an Electrical Engineer within our Maintenance Department. We are seeking a self-motivated and determined individual who demonstrates a desire to work for a successful business within the Printing Industry. What do we want?
We are looking for an individual to join our experienced Maintenance Team and carry out the following duties:
1. Maintain all Warners machinery to provide optimum functionality.
2. Attend breakdowns and conduct effective and efficient fault finding to resolve component failures.
3. Support and assist Mechanical engineering activities when and where required.
4. Ensure that electrical maintenance tasks are completed on time in full.
5. Supervise and support contractors when required.
6. Fully understand the operational protocols associated with alarm conditions.
7. Support and fully utilise a Computer Maintenance Management System on a daily basis adhering to accurate control of stock.
8. Escalate crisis management by effectively providing the Engineering Manager with accurate assessments and constructive solutions where appropriate.
9. Undertake upgrades and installations.
10. Ensure that all preventative maintenance tasks are conducted in a timely fashion and documented accurately.
11. Actively maintain a clean and organised working environment.
12. Provide accurate root cause for all breakdown incidents and corrective actions to resolve and restore functionality.
13. Provide suggestions for improvement concepts and ideas that will reduce breakdown and/or time to repair.
14. Provide support and training for lesser experienced engineers and apprentices.
15. Undertake any other tasks or duties commensurate with this role.
Are you the right person?
In order to be considered for this role you will need to be able to display the following attributes:
1. Higher Diploma/City and Guilds electrical qualification.
2. Minimum of 5 years experience working in an electrical manufacturing environment.
3. Self-motivated and driven to succeed.
4. Excellent organisational skills.
5. Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with colleagues, management, suppliers and manufacturers.
6. Ability to identify root cause quickly and effectively.
7. Motivated to provide robust, long-term solutions.
8. Confident, accurate decision making.
9. Ability and experience interpreting technical drawings.
10. PC literate – PC and MS office skills.
11. A willingness to learn new technology and systems, attending training courses when required.
