Essential Ingredients Strategic thinking skills developing strategy and long-term plans and objectives, able to re-design processes & ways of working to meet long-term objectives. Management & leadership skills building an exciting vision that inspires others to perform using a range of management styles, able to deal effectively with performance issues and can create and build a sense of trust in the team Possess an Engineering Qualification such as HND, HNC, BTECH or equivalent Able to deploy and execute a reliability centred asset care strategy Identify continuous improvement opportunities to drive quality, cost, reliability and safety performance. Delivery of solid cost and inventory controls Experience of PUWER, LOLER, COSHH & HACCP with a working knowledge of H&S audits and processes Commercial skills with an understanding of the cost base to improve profitability and to develop and monitor the engineering budget. The Recipe Working alongside the General Manager as part of our Senior Leadership team and working in close collaboration with our national manufacturing excellence function. Youll engage, motivate and lead a skilled team of engineers, utilising root cause analysis to identify and prioritize corrective, preventative, predictive and mitigating actions. We have a continuous improvement culture and keeping our colleagues and customers safe is our number one priority. As the Engineering Manager, youll also be the duty holder for Health and Safety on site working alongside our HSE Manager. As Engineering Manager youll work closely with site teams to drive improvement through efficient and innovative ways of working. Establishing strong relationships with our central engineering and manufacturing excellence teams, youll value cross functional working and the opportunity to be involved in national projects.
