Contract: Fixed term contract until 31st March 2027 We are looking for an experienced project developer and proposal writer with a track record of applying for grants to become part of the team, able to research, co-ordinate and support the development of high-quality funding applications to secure external resources to enable the delivery of strategically important projects. Working across the Council on a range of priorities from regeneration, green space, health and social care, to heritage and culture and with external partners including the voluntary and community sector, this role will help raise our game by attracting significant levels of external resources that can make a real difference. The successful candidate will: Be experienced in working with a wide range of stakeholders in developing successful funding proposals and building partnerships. Have experience of a wide range of funders, including (but not limited to) Lottery providers and government departments e.g. MHCLG, DESNZ, DEFRA. Be able to deliver in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines, with the support of a friendly team. Possess outstanding written, communication and negotiation skills, strong budget development skills with excellent attention to detail. The role is initially offered through to the end of March 2027, with extensions dependent on the team’s success in securing additional funding. The role will benefit from hybrid working with an option to be predominantly home / remote based.
