We’re looking for a Safety, Health & Environmental Manager (SHE) to join our team in Spalding, Lincolnshire. As Health and Safety Manager, you'll play a vital role in ensuring a safe and sustainable working environment at Westfalia Fruit. You'll develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. You'll also support business operations while prioritising employee safety and managing site environmental activities, including waste disposal, recycling, and ensuring environmental compliance. Responsibilities include: Develop and maintain comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures. Foster a strong health and safety culture throughout the organization. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Continuously identify and implement improvements to health and safety practices. Manage the health and safety plan and conduct regular audits. Review and update safe systems of work and risk assessments. Ensure safe equipment installation and maintenance. Investigate accidents, near misses, and health and safety issues. Manage contractor compliance and environmental regulations. Lead the design and implementation of environmental management systems. Requirements Minimum 3 years’ experence within Health and safety. NEBOSH Occupational Health and Safety Certificate (or equivalent). IOSH Managing Safely Certificate (or equivalent). Knowledge and understanding of safety regulations. Experience with Fire management and risk assessment. Proven experience of working in a food production environment. Strong analytical problem solving and organisational skills. Ability to prioritise multiple tasks and work to tight deadlines. Proactive approach with strong attention to detail. Desirable: Experience with ISO 45001, 14001, 5001 standards. Construction Design and Management (CDM) regulations certified. NEBOSH Environmental Management Certification.
