Position: Business Development Managers (Packaged Hazardous Waste, Liquid Waste/ Tankers)
Location: East Midlands and Southern England
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 plus added bonus, car allowance, etc

SRG are working with a leading waste management and recycling company who have a long and successful history of supporting the UK chemical industry. They are now looking for driven and dynamic professionals looking to make a significant impact in the hazardous waste industry. As a Business Development Manager, you will work closely with the local depot, regional management team, and Head of Sales to source and implement high-quality hazardous waste business wins. Your efforts will drive a significant impact on local depot revenues and profitability. The role is accountable for identifying and driving new business in line with the regional and depot business plan.
Role/Description
1. Identify and implement sizeable new hazardous waste accounts, achieving annual sales revenue targets.
2. Collaborate with depot and sales management teams to target new business in the correct industry sectors and geographies.
3. Generate and maintain a robust pipeline of prospects that fit the business strategy.
4. Ensure all development activity is tracked and recorded in business CRM tools.
5. Work collaboratively with other business units and group sales functions to develop strategic growth plans.
6. Adhere to new business governance policies around tendering and pricing sign-off.
7. Represent the business unit positively to all stakeholders.
8. Respond to tenders and requests for information in a timely manner.
Requirements
1. Strong experience in developing and managing new business services in a waste environment.
2. Strong presentation, selling, negotiating, and influencing skills.
3. Good Microsoft Office skills.
4. Business Degree is desirable.
5. Numeracy and ability to understand numerical data.
6. Bid writing competency, including the ability to respond to tendering documentation.
7. Successful sales and marketing techniques.
8. Flexibility including the ability to travel, including occasional nights away from home.
9. Well-presented and enthusiastic.
10. Full current car driving licence.
