With community-based residential care settings, as well as a network of supported living services, we support adults over the age of 18 with autism, dementia, learning disabilities, mental health conditions, Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) and behaviours that challenge. We also offer a range of residential and nursing care settings for older people with varying levels of need.
To co-ordinate and lead on the quality and management of nursing care, patient care and the clinical environment within a nursing unit. Manage and direct the delivery of clinical services within a unit, ensuring it complies with statutory regulations, current legislation and meets quality standards. The Unit Lead for Nursing/Dementia will provide clinical leadership and expertise to all colleagues on shift as required, assuming the role of nurse-in-charge whilst on duty. Participate fully with the multidisciplinary team and undertake direct patient care.
Knowledge / Education / Skills
It is essential that you be a First level NMC Registered Nurse. The expectation is that you maintain your clinical knowledge with regular updating of skills through CPD and attending the necessary courses. You will be able to evidence that the requirements of revalidation have been met.
NVQ Level 3 is preferred, but it is essential that you are educated to a minimum GCSE/NVQ 2 or above (or similar qualification) with a good standard of English.
