Shift Engineer
Location: Bala
Salary: 40,000 - 46,000 per annum + pension
Our client is currently the largest independent manufacturer of private label cupcakes in the UK, employing around 280 staff in a 25,000 square foot bakery.
The Shift Engineer's main objective is to support the running of the factory by resolving breakdowns and delivering maintenance. Additionally, driving improvement across the site in terms of new machinery, hygiene, quality, and performance is also required.

Roles & Responsibilities:
* Carry out all maintenance across the factory.
* Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring rapid response and minimizing machinery downtime.
* Work in a clean and orderly manner in compliance with the Company's Hygiene Code of Practice.
* Ensure all Health and Safety standards are met, and that all equipment complies with Company and legal standards.
* Carry out repairs to plant and equipment during production, effectively and efficiently either alone or as part of a team.
* Perform Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) onsite, ensuring a proactive approach to maintenance.
* Manage Engineering time effectively to minimize downtime.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
* Multi-skilled with formal engineering qualification to NVQ Level 3 or higher in an electrical or mechanical subject.
* Possess 17th or 18th Edition Certification.
* Proactive approach to fault finding, commitment to continuous improvement, and personal development.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
* Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
* Physically fit, capable of manual handling, working at height, and standing for long periods.
* Able to work 12-hour shift patterns, including days, nights, and weekends.
