Salary: £30,000 - £46,525

GSL Education are looking for a Mathematics Teacher for one of our SEN schools in Southampton. The Maths Teacher must adhere to the national curriculum and use a variety of teaching methods to ensure all students are able to learn effectively. As a member of the Mathematics department, you will play a crucial role and work closely with the Head of Faculty. The school values the teaching of fundamental skills, critical thinking, and problem-solving with a touch of creativity, which are integral to its ethos and expected from its staff.
Key responsibilities and tasks:
Plan, prepare, and deliver Mathematics lessons that align with the national curriculum and meet the needs of individual students.
Use a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, group work, and practical experiments, to engage students and support their learning.
Monitor and evaluate student progress through regular assessments, homework assignments, and tests.
Provide feedback to students and parents on their academic progress, including identifying areas for improvement and strategies for success.
Use technology and other resources to enhance the learning experience for students.
Participate in extracurricular activities, such as math Olympiads, clubs, science fairs, and field trips, to further engage and inspire students.
Collaborate with other teachers and staff to develop and implement school-wide programs and initiatives.
The successful candidate will have:
Bachelor's degree in Science or a related field.
Teaching certification or qualification ( PGCE, QTS).
Prior experience teaching Science to school students.
Strong knowledge of the national curriculum and assessment methods.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.

Ability to manage a classroom effectively.
Good problem-solving and analytical skills.
Passionate about teaching Science and inspiring students to learn.
