We are urgently seeking a Purchase Ledger Clerk to support the Head Office in Bolton. Immediate start available.
Working Hours:
Monday – Friday: 09:00 – 17:00 (30 min unpaid lunch break)
Renumeration Package:
£23,000 - £26,000 (depending on experience)
Annual Profit Related bonus (after qualifying period)

Study support (A.A.T or equivalent) is available after successful probationary period
Holidays:
35 days including bank holidays. Sufficient days will need to be saved for the Christmas Shutdown.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process a high volume of purchase invoices
2. Matching, batching and posting invoices to COINS accounting software and occasionally to Sage Line 50.
3. Request P.O.D.’s
4. Filing of Waste Tickets
5. Distribute invoices to managers for authorization and effectively monitor the movements of these documents
6. Resolution of internal purchase invoice queries
7. Filing of supplier invoices/ delivery notes
8. Purchase ledger document control
9. Supplier statement administration
10. Petty cash control
11. Banking
12. Set up new Contracts/ Clients/ Suppliers
13. Provide cover for other Finance Department staff
14. Ad hoc finance and admin duties as required
Essential Skills & Experience:
1. At least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar finance role
2. Comfortable working to deadlines
3. Highly organized
4. Numerate, with excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
5. Experience of MS Office (especially Excel and Word)
6. Experience of commercial accounting software
