As an IT Apprentice with NELT, you will gain invaluable experience working in a fast-paced IT environment, providing support to staff and students across a range of technical areas.
As an IT Apprentice, you will provide support in a range of technical areas, assisting with desktop, application, and cloud-based services, as well as maintaining and monitoring IT systems and hardware.

In this role, youll work towards your IT Support Level 3 qualification, delivered by our expert training team at Baltic Apprenticeships.
A Typical Day in the Job: Provide basic end-user support for desktop, applications, and cloud services.
Respond to IT queries and requests, logging and updating these via the helpdesk ticket system.
Support users with their accounts and data management, including basic troubleshooting and issue resolution.
Provide general support for end-user devices and printers.
Maintain print devices and queues, escalate maintenance issues to the appropriate supplier.
Assist with updating group policies and ensuring proper change control.
Monitor devices to ensure their health, including antivirus, updates, and firewall functionality.
Perform routine checks and testing of web filtering and firewall systems.
Monitor UPS systems and perform regular battery checks.
Ensure wireless connectivity is maintained by performing testing and troubleshooting.
Update and maintain asset management systems to track equipment status and movements.
Test and maintain AV solutions, including projectors, interactive whiteboards (IWBs), and multi-display systems.
Assist with the relocation and end-of-life processes for end-user devices.
Contribute to and assist with ongoing school-based IT projects.
Full training and support will be provided by your workplace mentor and from the Baltic team.
Salary, Hours & Benefits: £14,500per annum Working Monday-Friday Working hours
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM
- 4:00 PM, Friday: 8:00 AM
- 3:30 PM National Terms and Conditions of Employment (NJC Green Book).
