About The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and proactive person to manage our field technical duties across our English grower/supplier locations
Reporting into the Procurement Manager daily the role will predominantly be based at our Boston, Lincolnshire fresh packhouse, but will include a requirement to travel to supplier locations in Yorkshire, Shropshire, East Anglia, the East Midlands and our Albert Bartlett frozen processing site in Westwick, Norfolk.
Your main accountabilities will be to:
•To manage Carbon Auditing of our suppliers
•To manage and report on new potato varieties and trial variety plots.
•To manage and uphold supplier compliance, with accreditations required by both our fresh and processing customers.
•To manage 3rd party storage programs for both fresh and processing crops. Store intake, quality, temperature regime, sprout suppression, trial work.
•Quality sampling and reporting on both fresh and processing crops ( ex field and ex store) .
•To assist the Head of Farming with own growing accreditation audits.
•To source, manage and help coordinate seed supply to both contracted fresh and processing suppliers.
•The awareness to manage and tie in technical management of suppliers and crops, with the commercial requirements of both our fresh and processing sites.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT
This is will be a hands-on role at times and candidates should be willing to travel and work with other departments within our business and wider grower group; a fine eye for detail and previous experience of Technical auditing and potato agronomy is also preferable for this role.
