Seeking a dynamic and experienced Technical Services Manager to join our team in Pangbourne, working with a prestigious high-profile client.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead Hard Services Management (budgets, schedules, quality & risk, statutory compliance, and governance).
2. Develop and implement consistent maintenance management practices on site. Lead service partners and teams in driving performance and best practice to ensure exceptional service delivery.
3. Accountable for the Engineering Operations Audit program for the client account.
4. Drive and deliver innovative cost reduction or sustainability programs.
5. Deliver improvement strategies using quantifiable data driven information from all available technology platforms.
6. Work with the account EMEA Sustainability Manager to identify energy management best practices and innovations that are applicable within the Client account.
7. Accountable for engineering budget working with the Site Lead in accordance with the financial timetable.
8. Communicate regularly with the Client team to build and maintain relationships and work with key business partners and cross functional groups.
9. Manage internal and external Service Level Agreements (SLA) and Key Performance Indicators to ensure contractual commitments are met or exceeded.
10. Promote high level of customer service to ensure and drive best practices.
11. Ensure business continuity plans are carried out as required to maintain minimum service disruption.
12. Conduct risk assessments and follow safety protocols, keeping up to date with latest legislation and trends.
13. Able to apply a risk focused maintenance approach and operations of plant and systems in Labs / critical environments.
14. Provide supervision and leadership of a service team that ensures the efficient and safe operation of client site.
15. Lead and develop a ONE TEAM approach with all staff and supply partners as part of Third-Party Contractor Management.
16. Operate to an Asset management plan (one year - 10 year), dilapidation and update plans relating to special locations and change control process covering business critical areas.
17. Escalate urgent issues identified through to the Site Lead and UK Engineering Manager. Respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies consistent with the SLA.
18. Establish emergency response escalation programs working with the client and Security to ensure the appropriate representatives are notified of emergency conditions in a timely manner.
19. Ensure maintenance is carried out in line with Client and Companies H&S procedures, using the permit to work system where applicable and action improvements identified during the building and workplace inspections and reviews.
20. Manage all technical training requirements including competency assessments, critical services training, and scenario training exercises.
21. Other duties as requested by the UK Engineering Manager to meet the changing needs and demands of the business.
22. All the time working in accordance with health and safety measures and promoting best practice amongst colleagues, contractors, and vendors.
About You
1. You have direct experience in delivering technical Facilities Management services within a fast paced, high profile environment.
2. You have a track record in the management of Hard Services, preferably in both self-delivered and outsourced engineering services contracts.
3. You have experience in financial management and budgeting, identifying cost savings/avoidance.
4. You are able to build and maintain positive client relations and network at all levels.
5. You are proficient with Word and Excel and have a keen interest in technology.
6. You are organized, work efficiently, and can meet tight deadlines with professionalism and service focused approach.
7. Higher diploma in mechanical / electrical engineering.
8. Technical or/and Authorised Person (preferred) qualifications.
