Multi-Phase Wind Tunnel Developer Loughborough University has recently been awarded more than £1M to develop a novel multi-phase wind tunnel. This is part of a UKRI/EPSRC infrastructure award to the National Wind Tunnel Facility (NWTF https://www.nwtf.ac.uk ) and this post is a unique opportunity to design and implement a new tunnel and gather high quality experimental data. The facility will initially be used to understand the water spray behaviour from a road car wheel and how it interacts with vehicle sensors. The successful candidate will lead on the development and delivery of a multi-phase wind tunnel for the EPSRC National Wind Tunnel Facility. They should have experience in experimental fluid mechanics, mechanical design skills, project management and leadership of teams. The role will also involve interaction with facilities management, procurement, and other Universities within the NWTF.
