Maintenance Engineer
We are working with an industrial manufacturer based in Shefford that is looking to expand its maintenance department. The company has recently undergone management changes that have elevated the engineering team and introduced 3-5 year training, progression, and succession plans for all team members. Some of the training courses undertaken include HNCs, Robotic Arm programming, PLC courses, Electrical competence courses, Forklift, and IPAF, demonstrating a strong commitment to development and progression.
As a Maintenance Engineer, working within a team of 6 engineers, your main responsibilities will include:
1. Maintaining conveyors, silos, mixers, and vacuum lifts
2. Reducing production downtime through improvement and preventative maintenance plans
3. Responding to machinery breakdowns
4. On night shifts, focusing on PPM schedules as all other lines will be shut down
5. Performing fault finding both mechanically and electrically
To be considered for this role, you should have previous experience working in a Production, Manufacturing, or Process environment, with the ability to fault find using a multimeter, and must hold relevant engineering qualifications.
The position operates on a 3-shift pattern – Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00, 14:00 – 22:00, and 22:00 – 06:00.
