Job summary Children's Recovery Theatre Practitioner - Registered Nurse or ODP We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Children's Recovery Theatre Practitioner to join our Children's Recovery team. The ideal candidate will deliver the post-operative care of children, of all ages, ensuring their safe and effective recovery from anaesthesia and surgery and must have postgraduate experience in Children's Theatres Recovery which must be detailed in your application to be shortlisted. There are currently have a full time and a part time opportunity in our theatres recovery and a full education and orientation package is provided bespoke to your experience and needs. Some of the skills covered in education includes advanced airway skills, invasive line management, management of emergency scenarios such as anaphylaxis, major haemorrhage, and local anaesthetic toxicity plus fluid and pain management. This position is not suitable for nurses requiring OSCE to register with the NMC UK. Main duties of the job Coastguard and Horizon Children's Theatres Department has 9 theatres over 2 specifically paediatric theatre departments. The specialities we cover are neurosurgery, scoliosis, cardiac, cardiac catheter, interventional radiology, oncology, general, urology, ear, nose and throat, orthopaedics, renal, plastics, burns, dental, maxillofacial, laparoscopic and endoscopy.
