You will be working within a highly skilled multi-discipline pro-active team that not only maintains the estate but also delivers projects to a high standard.
To work as a member of a multitasking maintenance team providing professional and technical expertise with an effective and efficient focus on service delivery.
To carry out or oversee the repair, maintenance, or installation of complex plant and equipment associated with premises administered by the Trust's Estates department.
This will involve a multi-skilled approach as well as the full range of duties associated with the post holder’s core trade.
Professionally, the post holder will be expected to maintain his/her appearance in line with the Trust dress code.
Uphold the Trust’s values and behave in a manner fitting with the responsible position of the role.
Maintain professional and courteous working relationships with staff and respect the equality and diversity of each and every person he/she comes into contact with in the course of his/her work duties.
Responsibilities:
1. Carry out day-to-day electrical repairs, planned maintenance, and improvements to the Trust's buildings in a manner that conforms to statutory regulations and codes of practice.
2. Responsible for the installation of electrical new work and small projects.
3. Part of a multi-skilled, multi-discipline maintenance team.
4. Participate in the emergency on-call system to ensure safe systems and service continuity.
5. Cross-site working as required.
6. Good diagnostic and fault-finding skills, and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
7. Understand the work of all other trades to maintain departmental flexibility.
8. Perform other tasks as required by management.
9. Read and understand electrical installation plans and drawings.
10. Willingness to attend courses as required.
11. Participate in the Labour Management System by reading and understanding work order cards, filling in relevant details on completion of the work, and maintaining good performance.
