Classroom Assistant
Rate of Pay - £83.85 per day
Area – Neath & Surrounding area
Teaching Personnel have an exciting opportunity for a Classroom Assistant to join our committed and supportive team in Neath.
Part-time & Fulltime positions available, ranging from 1-5 days per week starting as early as the 3rd March 2025.
What will the role involve?
* Supervise and provide particular support on a 1:1 basis and deliver group activities from the teacher planning.
* Assist with the development and implementation of individual Education/Behaviour Plans and Personal Care programmes.
* Set challenging and demanding expectations and promote self-esteem and independence.
* Provide feedback to pupils in relation to progress and achievement under guidance of the teacher.
* Establish constructive relationships with pupils and interact with them according to individual needs.
* Promote the inclusion and acceptance of all pupils.
* Encourage pupils to interact with others and engage in activities led by the teacher
* On the job training through the school, helping you better understand the schools aims and culture
* Additional development opportunities through Teaching Personnel always available, including our Team Teach training which is invaluable to furthering your development

The ideal candidate:
* Ideally you will have previous experience working with children.
* Ideally you will have previous experience working with children or adults with learning difficulties or working with individuals with varied challenging behaviours and personal care requirements.
* Someone who can demonstrate the necessary nurturing qualities required to work closely who may require 1:1 support
* Be friendly, enthusiastic, adaptable, and reliable
* Teaching Assistant qualification is ideal but not essential
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE, YOU MUST:
* Driver with access to own vehicle (Essential)
* Have the Right to Work in the UK with proof of documentation
* Be registered (or willing to register) with the Education Workforce Council (EWC) & Disclose & Baring Service (DBS)
* Provide 24 months’ worth of references, including any related references you may have worked with children.
