This advert is open to both Internal and External applicants.
To lead the Council’s Procurement Operations & Accounts Payable function, including purchase to pay activity that underpins the Council’s objectives to transform Procurement & Commercial Services into a leading edge and professional organisation through becoming more focused, more integrated, and more disciplined.
1. Creating a centrally coordinated, highly effective procurement function with strong execution capability.
2. Being highly credible through the delivery of substantial and sustainable savings.
3. Being an integral strategic partner with directorates/functions and supply chain partners.
4. Being a sustainable capability that is a strategic advantage for the Council.
To ensure delivery of the Council’s strategic objectives for Procurement Process, eSourcing and P2P Systems, Spend and Market Analysis.
To lead the delivery of a timely and accurate Accounts Payable function.
To lead the delivery of an efficient and effective Central Buying Team (CBiT) that drives value for money.
