Spring 2025 Internship: This position is located at our HQ in Durham, NC. Expected program dates are January 21 – April 25, 2025. Job title: Human Factors Intern Introduction: Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions is seeking an intern with interest in Human Factors/Ergonomics. The successful candidate will possess some basic Human Factors/Ergonomics skills and have the curiosity and drive to learn more and apply those skills to products. Responsibilities: Conduct store studies, evaluating front end. Interviews and surveys of a variety of shoppers. Interviews and surveys of various store employees. These tasks will primarily benefit Front End Design for future SCO, and the Walmart project. Base research will also be useful for future AIO and display products. Other tasks related to user evaluations for products under development. Required Skills: This role is open to undergraduate students currently enrolled in a four-year degree program, majoring in Human Factors Engineering (or equivalent) or Industrial Design. Must have taken at least one psychology course and one human factors/ergonomics course. Must have an ability to travel Creative, strategic thinking, and logical reasoning skills. Capable of taking direction and working independently on assigned tasks. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to collaborate with diverse team members as needed.
