Introduction:
I am seeking a Support Worker for 3 hours a week during school term, 6 hours per week during school holidays to support my 11-year-old son with accessing leisure and amenities to develop his confidence and well-being. He would like to return to playing Rugby during the playing season and attend the rock music project in Aberystwyth. My son has a diagnosis of Asperger’s and ADHD. He needs support to understand and be able to relate to others in a group setting. He may withdraw if anxious so requires plenty of reassurance and asking if he wishes to move to a quieter setting. He does not enjoy crowded noisy places and wears headphones to cope with sensory overload. It is important to note my son has a fear of cats and dogs when going out. He enjoys going to the park, playing Minecraft, playing with Lego plus may enjoy other activities such as attending a woodland group, archery and playing with nerf guns.
