Sidcup Operations plays a pivotal role within the CCEP network, producing around 50% of the GB SKU portfolio. The site offers a one stop shop to the GB Market with a range of packages that are single sourced from Sidcup. Across their 7 manufacturing lines the site can produce 360,000 cans per hour, 132,000 PET bottles per hour and 48,000 Glass bottles.
There are currently around 400 employees across Manufacturing, QESH and Engineering, and Distribution. Working at here can lead to excellent career opportunities both in Sidcup and further afield across other GB sites and Pan-European locations.
The ideal candidate for this role would be a highly motivated individual who can work with and technically lead a team to achieve joint goals and targets. An curious self-developing mindset is essential, and the individual needs to be able to make decisions based upon fact.
What you will do!
Work on rotating 12hr shifts; days and nights and as per area requirements
Working as a team member and providing support and direction to Operator Technicians and agency staff in your area
Responsibility for machine & equipment efficiency within your work area
Responsibility for developing effective communication & providing flexible support across the operation and applying your knowledge and skills to deal with situations and identifying/influencing the day to day and long term issues in order to drive continuous Improvement
Safely maintain machinery within the designated work area to ensure the output is achieved within production performance, quality, yield and CRS targets.
What we expect from you?
Strong technical and operational skills
Good understanding and awareness of monitoring and control systems ensuring appropriate escalation of performance issues are communicated and acted upon
Machine operating, setting, adjustment, and asset care skills alongside either a mechanical or electrical qualification, or proven operational experience are required for this role.
The successful applicant will be a dual skilled, time served Engineer with electrical / automation preference and hold an engineering based NVQ level 3 or equivalent qualification and a minimum of ONC or BTEC National Diploma in electrical/mechanical engineering. You will have strong experience within a manufacturing environment and have proven diagnostic, problem solving and maintenance skills and mind-set for continuous improvement.
Automation and PLC skills would be preferred in Siemens S7 & TIA, Allen Bradley Control Logix and / or Allen Bradley SLC. Motion / Process control experience would also be an advantage.
