Robert Walters are excited to be partnering with a fast-growing retail company in Manchester. This is a great opportunity for a Data Manager to be part of an exciting journey. If you are experienced in the sector, have proven management skills of coaching and upskilling, alongside being a technical wizard, then this role could be for you.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the collection, storage, and accessibility of data from multiple sources.
* Maintain high data quality standards, proactively identifying ways to improve accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
* Oversee data pipelines and workflows to ensure seamless processing and integration.
* Partner with cross-functional teams to align data strategies with business needs.
* Work with the Head of Data/Insights and other teams to develop dashboards, reports, and KPIs for performance tracking.
* Continuously refine data management processes, systems, and tools to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
* Lead and mentor a team of Data Analysts, providing guidance, training, and career development opportunities.
* Collaborate with the BI Developer to ensure the data infrastructure supports business intelligence and reporting requirements.
* Serve as a key escalation point for data-related issues and support strategic initiatives with the Head of Data/Insights.
Requirements:
* Experience with data management platforms, BI tools (Power BI), data integration technologies (SQL), cloud solutions (Azure), and analytical data engines (Analysis Services).
* Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Proven experience working alongside BI developers and data engineers to enhance reporting and data visualization solutions.
* Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities, with a focus on team growth and development.
* Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven, able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
* A collaborative mindset with a team-oriented approach to problem-solving and decision-making.
